ABOUT.
Luciano Castaldo is a New York City–based choreographer and creative director redefining movement through the lens of cinematic storytelling. With a signature style rooted in theatrical fusion, Luciano has become known for crafting magnetic single-shot dance films and electrifying stage experiences.
A Jimmy Awards nominee and Rita Moreno Award–winning performer, Luciano’s foundation as an artist was built through years of performance before evolving into a visionary behind the camera and curtain. As a Technical Theater and Musical Theater major of Inspire School of Arts & Sciences and a graduate of The Institute for American Musical Theatre, he combines technical discipline with a fearless creative instinct — creating work that feels meticulously orchestrated.
As the owner, creative director, and dance director of Eleven42, in association with Clark Anton Rulon, Luciano leads a new wave of movement-driven storytelling specializing in single-shot dance films. His work is driven by the challenge of capturing movement in its purest, uninterrupted form. Every frame is intentional, every transition alive, and every project designed to leave a lasting impression long after the music fades.
As a multifaceted creative, Luciano seamlessly merges choreography, direction, performance, and visual storytelling to build experiences that are immersive, cinematic, and emotionally charged. Whether directing for film or stage, Luciano Castaldo creates work that moves beyond choreography — transforming motion into atmosphere, narrative, and an unforgettable visual.
